Margaritaville August 4th – Benefits The Belmont Food Pantry

On Wednesday, August 4th, from 5pm-10pm, the last Margaritaville Night, 10% of the evening’s net sales from Savinos Grill will be donated to the Belmont Food Pantry. Co-sponsored by the Belmont Citizen-Herald.


Midsummer Night’s Wine Dinner July 20th

“Lord what fools these mortals be!” cried Puck at the young Athenians’ silly behavior over love, in Act 3, scene one, line 115 in William Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Instead of young Athenian men and women being wholly absorbed in their emotions, wine lovers and culinary aficionados will be absorbed in tasting and consuming at Savinos Grill Midsummer Night’s Wine Dinner on Tuesday, July 20th, at 630pm

Act I

Scene 1 opens with a lovely reception of Grilled Shrimp drizzled with basil oil, assorted crostini, paired with Badia A Coltibuono “Trappoline” (a Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc).  The next scenes follow as played out below:

Scene 2 The Appetizer

Melon and Hard Ricotta Napoleon with micro greens drizzled with balsamic glaze

Paired with Avignonesi Rosso di Montepulciano

Scene 3 The Entree

Grilled Hanger Steak with spinach pasta pie with gorgonzola, roasted mushrooms, cippolini in a red wine reduction

or

Grilled Swordfish over israeli cous cous with beet puree and leeks, sautéed greens, baby zucchini and baby carrots in tarragon oil

Paired with Badia A Coltibuono “Estate” Chianti Classico

Scene 4 Dessert

Fresh Blueberry Tart, Crème Anglaise

Served with Homemade Lemoncello

Portion of the tickets will benefit The Belmont Special Education Advisory Council.  Tickets are $60 per person (tax/gratuity not included). Margaritaville Wednesday Nights

“Wasting away again in Margaritaville…” you remember the songs by Jimmy Buffet and now you can reminiscence to the sounds of the Buffet Man, quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite at Savinos Grill’s Margaritaville Nights!

Beginning July 2nd and ending August 4th, every Wednesday 5pm-9pm at Savinos Grill’s bar, guests can enjoy the music of the Caribbean, nosh on some delicious tapas and drink some cool, exotic margaritas from the specially made Margaritaville Menu by Executive Chef Tom Cutrone:

Tapas

  • Fried Calamari, Napa slaw, Harissa aioli
  • Crab Cake panini, mango jalapeno salsa
  • Grilled Hanger steak, over mesculun greens,
    roasted peppers, mozzarella with balsamic glaze
  • Pepper crusted tuna, over white bean salad, basil oil dressing

Margaritas

  • Hornitos Tequila Reposado, sour apple liqueur, splash of triple sec,
    fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Hornitos Tequila Anejo, Pama Pomegranate liqueur, splash of triple sec,
    fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Hornitos Tequila Silver, with watermelon liqueur splash of triple sec,
    fresh squeezed lime juice

So gather your friends, wear your parrot-head attire and enjoy the cool sounds of Jimmy Buffet songs playing throughout Savinos Grill.

“It is clear that Chef Cutrone really knows how to prepare seafood. Though it may seem simple to cook something like scallops, it actually can be quite tricky as you must get the timing exact, or you can easily under or over cook them. Getting seafood to the right tenderness is a skill. Chef Cutrone also understands how to balance flavors on a plate, so nothing overwhelms the other ingredients. Freshness of the ingredients seems very important to him, and is a definite asset on the plate. In addition, portion size is good, neither too much nor too little. You have enough to be full but not stuffed.”
